1. Ethmoid bone
先看 3D 的卡通圖，ethmoid bone 上方是 cribriform plate（上面的 crista galli 接 falx cerebi），往下延伸出 perpendicular plate（垂直板），左右兩側有大塊的 ethmoidal labyrinth（篩骨迷路）。
Ethmoidal labyrinth 的外側壁是 orbital plate（眼眶板），構成眼眶的內側壁，與 frontal bone 一起構成 anterior & posterior ethmoidal foramen（前後篩孔）。
Labyrinthe 的內側壁有突起的 ethmoidal bulla（篩骨泡），下面有一條溝叫 ethmoidal infundibulum，往上穿過 ethmoidal labyrinth 通向 frontal sinus（額竇），兩個結構之間的管道叫 frontonasal duct（鼻額管）。
Labyrinth 的前方有一個往內勾的突起叫 uncinate process（勾突）。Uncinate process 往後跨過 maxillary hiatus（上頷裂孔）與 inferior concha（下鼻甲） 接合。
Ethmoidal bulla 下方，uncinate process 上方，有一個很重要的裂溝叫 semilunar hiatus。它是由覆蓋著外側壁的 mucosa 構成的，frontal sinus、anterior ethmoidal sinus 和 maxillary sinus 的開口都通向這裡。
Labyrinth 與 perpendicular plate 中間夾的是 middle concha 和 superior concha。
2. Paranasal sinuses
鼻腔周圍一共有四個 paranasal sinuses（副鼻竇）。其中有三個通向 nasal cavity 的 lateral wall，只有 sphenoidal sinus 通向 sloping posterior roof of nasal cavity。
首先是 frontal sinus（額竇），它在 frontal bone 的 foreheand 下方，先通過 frontonasal duct 再到 ethmoidal infundibulum 引流到 middle nasal concha 和 inferior nasal concha 之間的 semilunar hiatus（半月裂孔）前端。Frontal sinus 被 V1 的supra-orbital nerve 支配，被 anterior ethmoidal artery 供應。
再來是 ethmoidal labyrinth 中的 ethmoidal cell（篩骨蜂巢）。Ethmoidal cell 又被分成 anterior、middle、posterior 三部分：anterior 通向 ethmoidal infundibulum 或者 frontonasal duct，middle 通向 ethmoidal bulla，posterior 通向 lateral wall 的 superior nasal meatus。Ethmoidal cell 被 V1-anterior & posterior ethmoidal nerve 和來自 pterygopalatine ganglion 的 V2-orbital branch 支配。
Maxillary sinus （上頷竇）是 paranasal sinuses 中最大的，開口通向 semilunar hiatus 的中間。它被 V2-infraorbital & alveolar branches 支配，被 maxillary arteries 的 infraorbital & superior alveolar branch 供應。
最後是位於 sphenoid 中的 sphenoidal sinuses（蝶竇），開口通向 spheno-ethmoidal recess 的 posterior wall。值得一提的是 pituitary gland 就在 sphenoidal sinus 上方，所以可以通過鼻腔穿過蝶竇進行手術。Sphemoidal sinus 被 V1-ophthalmic nerve 和來自 pterygopalatine ganglion 的 V2-orbital branch 支配，供應則是來自 maxillary arteries 的 pharyngeal ateries。
補充一點，nasolacrimal duct 其實是通向 inferior nasal meatus 的，它來自 lacrimal sac，把 tears 從 conjunctival sac of eye（結膜囊）引流到鼻腔。
